Insulation Before & After in Dallas, TX
Photos tell the truth faster than any sales pitch. Below are real scenarios we’ve handled across Dallas, from Lakewood bungalows to newer builds in Frisco and McKinney. Each one shows what the attic looked like when we arrived, what we did, and what changed after. No staging, no stock photos. Just the kind of work we do every week.
Recent Transformations
Blown-In Fiberglass Over Patchy Batts in a 1980s Lake Highlands Home

The existing fiberglass batts had sagged away from the roofline and left bare spots across roughly a third of the attic floor. We air-sealed the major penetrations, then blew Owens Corning fiberglass to R-38 across the entire cavity. The homeowner’s upstairs bedroom stopped swinging ten degrees between afternoon and midnight.
Open-Cell Spray Foam on the Roofline of a Pier-and-Beam Oak Cliff Bungalow

A 1920s bungalow with a vented attic that never kept heat in during January’s cold snaps. We applied open-cell Icynene to the underside of the roof deck, converting the attic to a semi-conditioned space. The furnace stopped cycling every twenty minutes, and the homeowner stopped seeing frost on the attic hatch.
Removing Compressed, Rodent-Damaged Batts in a North Dallas Two-Story

The attic had R-19 batts that had been walked on, compressed, and chewed through in several bays. We removed everything down to the drywall, sanitized, and installed fresh Johns Manville batts at R-38 with a clean air seal on the top plates. The second floor finally held a consistent temperature for the first time in years.
Blown-In Cellulose Over Bare Attic Floor in a Newer Rowlett Build

Builders often stop at the code minimum, which in this case meant about four inches of loose fiber spread unevenly. We blew GreenFiber cellulose to R-49, built a raised platform around the furnace for safe access, and baffled the soffit vents properly. The energy bill dropped within the first full billing cycle.
Spray Foam Rim Joist Sealing in a Garland Split-Level

The homeowner complained about cold floors in the den every winter. We found the rim joists were bare wood with fiberglass shoved loosely against them. Closed-cell Demilec foam sealed the band joist around the entire perimeter. The floors warmed up within days, and the musty smell from the crawl space disappeared.
Attic Air Sealing and Rockwool Upgrade in a Plano Ranch

An otherwise well-built ranch with a leaky attic: recessed lights, a poorly sealed chase, and old batt insulation that had shifted. We sealed every penetration, boxed the can lights to code, and laid Rockwool batts at R-38 edge to edge. The house held its temperature noticeably longer between AC cycles in July.
